Ashley Graham was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was raised with her twin sisters and was regularly bullied at school because of her large legs. Graham was identified as having hyperactivity/attention deficit disorder soon following her graduation from elementary school. Despite having to overcome several obstacles, one of which was A.D.H.D. throughout the teenage years, she was able to triumph over them. A talent agent discovered Graham when she was 12 in the Nebraska shopping center. Her image was featured in magazines and advertisements before she graduated at Lincoln Southwest High School. Graham had an unique physical form that made obtaining employment difficult when she first started. Graham was offered the chance to be featured as a catalog lady over the course of several years, but was told that she wouldn't get past basic assignments. Sessions castings weren't right. Thankfully, her career took off quickly. Sally Singer from "Vogue" interviewed her and it was among her biggest successes. She was then included on "Glamour" the magazine's "These Bodies Are Beautiful at All Sizes" in 2009. In 2009, she was back in the news, Graham starred in a controversial Lane Bryant ad that was eventually banned in a number of countries. The commercial was viewed by more than 800,000 views at the time it was taken off YouTube. As the controversy grew and she was in the Jay Leno show "The Tonight Show". Graham was soon a well-known plus size model. Grande began acting and singing as a child. The role she won was 13 at Broadway in 2008, then started appearing in smaller parts in TV series. In 2010, she got her most awaited break, landing a part on Nickelodeon's television series Victorious. The character she played was Cat Valentine, an adolescent who was enrolled in a school of performing arts. The sitcom ended up being cancelled in 2013, she starred in the spin-off show Sam & Cat (2013-14).
